I was lurking around the bloggy world the other day. Yep, I admit it, I love to read about other people. I guess it's a little like eavesdropping, I just can't resist sometimes.
Anyways, I came upon this post pretty much blasting people for sharing too much information in their blogs. I'm not talking about last names, addresses, all that personal stuff. I'm talking too much info about their situation or life in general, their reactions to their own world.
If a blog isn't the place for this, than where would you like them to vent? What do you expect them to write about? We all visit tons of blog posts throughout the week. Which ones grab your attention? The ones that talk about real life, real emotion, real reactions, or ones that say nothing?
Here's what my post would look like if I didn't share too much, under some people's standards:
I got the mail today. I checked my e-mail. I ate lunch.
Wahoo! Didn't that get ya'll excited to come back and check out my next post? I get that there's a line that some posts can cross, but it's all a matter of opinion. Now, I'm not going to sit here and share every last detail of my life with everyone, but it's a give and take world. In order to have readers, I have to give ya'll something to read. Maybe it's another one of those things that I just don't get.

I hear ya on that! My blog is like a journal. What is a blog for? TO VENT and share personal stories! DUH! lol
That's just silly. If they don't like it go read something else. Sheesh it's a free country I can blog how I want.
I have yet to read a blog that I think crossed the line and i agree if you don't like it just don't read it.
Maybe THAT person should get a life if they read so many blogs that they've come to the conclusion of too many people sharing too much information. Or hello, don't read them. Geez!
That person must've just read my blog! I know i share too much, but I'm not forcing any one to read it. Well, my husband might disagree with that...I do force him.....
