The Activity Jar

No more hearing "I'm bored..."
No more wondering what to do after school
No more struggling for fun ideas
I should have thought of this sooner

Now that is a really good idea! I'll have to tuck that one away and start using it for my toddler too!

Love it! My kids are quite old enough to complain about being bord, but they do whine and complain alot. LOL So, I could still do this jar. I think it would be fun!

we do something similar with our oldest... we had him use sticky notes and on each note we had him write activities he could do by himself and then some he could do that included us... we color coded them. Then we put them in a bowl. So when we hear him say he's bored, depending on the time of the day and what we're doing we tell him to go pick a certain color. Folded those sticky notes so they're hidden, and it works like a charm :-) Let me know how it works for you - we started that over the summer and it worked for us!!

We have a kindness jar, but never thought of an activity jar. Great idea! Just wanted to pop in and say "hi". Thanks for your recent comment on my blog!

we do something like this in our home. we call it the "fun jar" and we do our routines and chores and get to pick from it, since we can't really afford the allowance thing, and hey the kiddos love it
