Little man is sick with his first cold of the school year. (Which I'm sure will be just one of many.)
Being sick leaves him tired, silly, and sweet.
We were snuggling on the couch today, when I leaned over and whispered, I love you.
His response: I know. You tell me all the time. But I like you to say it anyways.
Long pause...
Little man: Oh, and I looovveee you too, momma.
Sweet little moments like this make it all worth it. (Even when it means cleaning sheets at 1 am from someone getting sick. Only getting 4 hours of sleep because someone can't sleep. Or listening to whining the entire day because someone can't get out of their funk. Not that I would know about any of that.)

Oh poor little guy! Hope he's better! I remember those days (and nights)!
My girls still call & want their Mommy when they're sick - especially when they were away at college!
Just the best words to hear :)
Such a sweet experience. Moments like that make being a mom worth it!
I do miss that stage, I still have time to savor it with DS, but DD is the moody pre-teen.
Did you just melt completely? I hope he's feeling better soon!
Oh, that is sooo sweet! I hope he's feeling better soon.
Sometimes, friend, you just have the perfect grip on motherhood that reminds me why I love my job. Today wasn't one of those days but then you remind me what those days are like and I feel better. Thanks!
poor thing, hope he's feeling better soon. It's time like that that makes all the other times not even matter. My son has been sneezing and sniffling all day, I think he caught something from a sick team mate :( School has officially started!
Awwww. How sweet. I love moments like that.
the silver lining on the cloud... it's good to find in a sicky time like little guy had. hope he's feeling better soon. =)
