Time to Play Thursday: Sand Art

We love Fruit Loops in our house. They're yummy, bright, and make great sand art.

What you need:
Big bowl of Fruit Loops
Ziploc bags
Rolling pin
Baby food jar (or similar small jar)

1. Separate Fruit Loops by color. This takes awhile, but it's a good way to teach colors and sorting skills.

2. Place colors into separate Ziploc bags. Using rolling pin, smash until a fine powder is all that's left. Be careful though not to break the bag-I made that mistake.

3. Pour each color into jar, layering them as you go.

4. Seal jar tightly. You can put a tiny bit of glue around the edge of the lid if you are worried about anyone dumping it on the floor.

5. Display proudly!
