Blog It Forward To Fight Hunger

With times being so tough, more and more people are struggling. More and more people are going without.

Did you know that 36 million people in America aren't sure when or what their next meal will be? That's 11% of our population suffering from food insecurity. Statistics show that almost 12 million kids are growing up hungry. I can't even imagine what parents must go through wondering if they'll be able to feed their children. Or worse, knowing that they can't.

In 1999, ShopRite began ShopRite Partners in Caring in an effort to help fight hunger. The program currently supports 23 regional food banks and over 1400 charitable agencies. Since 1999, they have donated over $20 million to help fight hunger in our communities. By choosing items with the ShopRite Partners in Caring logo, you can support the companies dedicated to helping out too.
Now, ShopRite Partners in Caring has teamed up with General Mills to initiate Blog It Forward to Fight Hunger. By leaving a comment on this post, a box of cereal will be donated to a food bank in ShopRite's trading area.

Thank you for posting this!
Every little bit really does help. There is nothing sadder than seeing an empty food bank warehouse.

Every little bit helps - And all we have to do is post a comment?? AWESOME. WE should be commenting all over the place for this. Our country is too big and powerful for anyone to be going hungry.
