Off on an Adventure

Every year we tag along to DC with my mom.
It's a great chance to let the little one explore places beyond our backyard.

We get to see the memorials.
We get to visit the critters in the zoo.
Little man's favorite part, of course.
But, it is a very long ride.
And this year, I think the car seat isn't an option. So I'll have to attempt to keep him still for 4 hours or more. Yikes!
What are your favorite places to visit over the summer?

Family vacations are a lot of fun but I know what it is like to try to keep a kid occupied in a car seat for long hours. It isn't fun.

We don't go on vacations in the summer time. So my favorite place to take the kids in the summer would be to Whitney Ranch Park in Rocklin. It is only about a 20 minute drive from here and the park is really cool. They have huge slides, swings, and a fun water area for when it is hot. I think we are planning on taking the kids there sometime this weekend.

We are going to Niagara Falls this summer which I'm looking forward to. We haven't really taken a family trip since my sons were born ( 4 yrs old and 6 months), except for the zoo.

The lake of course. We live in an area where we are only 45 minutes away from many great lakes. We bought a place up at one of our favorite spots last year and can't wait to use it.

We love the zoo, all parks (especially ones with animals alive and stuffed), science centers, Six Flags and picnics! Can't wait for summer fun! YAY!
